2009 Carbonfund.org Partnership
MWW Group Green

MWW Group is dedicated to reducing its global warming impact, improving quality of life, and our country's energy security. Since 2007, MWW Group has led by example, committing to being CarbonFree® through a partnership with Carbonfund.org, the country's leading nonprofit organization offering carbon reduction and offset solutions.

Over the past 3 years, MWW Group has offset business operations, totaling over 4,600 metric tons of CO2 through Carbonfund.org. That's over 10 million pounds of CO2. This is equivalent to the emissions from over 10,000 barrels of oil consumed, or taking 850 cars off the road for one year.

MWW Group's ongoing partnership with Carbonfund.org will continue to support innovative, verified projects globally in renewable energy and reforestation that reduce carbon emissions and hasten market transformation towards a clean energy economy.

This year, MWW Group is supporting renewable energy production at the Iowa Lakes Wind Energy and Turbine Program in Estherville, Iowa. Initiated by the Iowa Lakes Community College, this program responds to the growing need for skilled technicians to install, maintain and service modern wind turbines. The 230-foot tall structure generates approximately 1.65 megawatts of clean energy near the college's Estherville Campus.

2009 marks the third year of this partnership and MWW Group is continuing to prove itself as an industry leader in addressing climate change.
