2011 Carbonfund.org Partnership
MWW Group Green

MWW Group is dedicated to reducing its global warming impact, improving quality of life, and our country's energy security. Since 2007, MWW Group has led by example, committing to being CarbonFree® through a partnership with Carbonfund.org, the country's leading nonprofit organization offering carbon reduction and offset solutions.

2012 marks the sixth year of this partnership and MWW Group is continuing to prove itself as an industry leader in addressing climate change. In fact, this year, MWW has committed to planting 200 trees- one for each of our employees- in addition to our annual offsetting to celebrate Earth Day.

Over the past six years, MWW Group has reduced the carbon impact from our business operations, totaling over 7,360 metric tons of CO2 mitigation which is equivalent to the electricity use of 918 homes electricity for one year through our partnership and support of Carbonfund.org. That's also equivalent to the emissions from over 17,100 barrels of oil consumed or taking 1,443 cars off the road for one year.1

This year, MMW Group is supporting the Buffalo Gap 2 Project which is an expansion on the original 121 megawatt Buffalo Gap Wind Farm. Collectively, the Projects - which include 155 turbines for the Buffalo Gap 2 Project - will be one of the largest wind farms in the United States of America and will have the capacity to generate enough energy to power approximately 100,000 homes in Texas. In addition to providing renewable electricity, Carbonfund.org supports the Buffalo Gap Wind Farm because it supports local communities and is a leading example of how wind energy can significantly contribute to the United States of America’s energy portfolio.
