Take Charge
Is your company thinking about starting a green initiative? It all begins with taking charge. Elect a green committee to draw up a plan that will make your company more environmentally friendly. Then, put it into action.
Initiate Change
After electing a green committee, educate employees about your company’s green initiatives and the importance they play in helping preserve the environment and prevent global warming.
Hold seminars to explain the significance of supporting these initiatives and explain in-depth how every person can do their part to help save our environment. Whether it's planting a tree, buying organic products or using cloth bags at the grocery store everyone can partake in this important mission and help make our planet GREEN.
Get Green
Making simple changes within your office can help preserve the environment:
- Place recycling bins throughout your office for disposal of aluminum cans, plastic and glass bottles, copy paper, newspapers and magazines.
- Purchase recycled and refurbished ink cartridges for fax machines, printers and copy machines.
- Order office supplies, such as copy paper, folders, notepads and pens, made from post-consumer materials.
- Replace incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs, which last much longer and use less energy.
- Encourage employees to turn off computers and lights when leaving for the day.
- Install motion sensors for lights in low-traffic areas of the office, such as conference rooms and kitchens.
- Use ceramic mugs instead of paper or plastic cups for beverages to reduce waste.
- Minimize the use of copy paper by distributing documents in a PDF format via e-mail.
- Encourage employees to car pool or use public transportation.
