Aliza Rothman Joins MWW Group As Vice President, Consumer Lifestyle Marketing

Denver-based Hire Expands MWW Group’s Western and Rocky Mountain Region Presence

DENVER – January 5, 2012 – MWW Group (www.mww.com), one of the top ten global independent public relations firms, announced today that Aliza Rothman has joined the firm as a vice president in its consumer lifestyle marketing practice.  Rothman will report to Alissa Blate, executive vice president, global consumer marketing, and will help lead a number of the agency’s consumer lifestyle clients, particularly in the lifestyle, travel and health categories. Additionally, Rothman, who is based in Denver, Colo., will expand MWW’s presence in the Western and Rocky Mountain regions of the United States.

Rothman brings more than 15 years of experience driving major communications initiatives for national, industry-leading brands, including AOL, United Airlines, Travelzoo, Frontier Airlines, MapQuest and eBay among others. Prior to joining MWW, Rothman owned her own public relations consultancy based in Denver, where she provided communications counsel to clients regarding thought-leadership, brand-building and media relations. Previously, Rothman worked at Ogilvy Public Relations in Denver where she oversaw clients including Case Logic, Raindance Communications, True.com and Protandim. Before that, she served as vice president at Robinson Lerer & Montgomery in New York City, where she managed public relations activities for several AOL channels including AOL Community, AOL Travel, AOL Teens, AOL Kids and more.  Additionally, she helped lead consumer-facing activities for United Airlines, including the promotion of surveys and travel and fitness experts.

Most recently, Marks managed her own public relations practice, advising start-up clients and individual entrepreneurs on strategic communications. Previously, she held senior level positions at Amazon.com and Getty Images.

From 1993 to 2004, Marks spent 11 years as senior vice president and general manager of MWW’s Seattle office. In her new role, Marks will lead corporate communications account teams and counsel C-level executives on reputation management, crisis communications and branding.

Marks brings more than two decades of experience in public relations, marketing and advertising, specializing in internal communications, product and company launches, crisis communications, financial media relations, reputation management and overall communications strategy. Over the course of her career, she has worked with a number of iconic brands and clients including Delta Air Lines, Walt Disney Company, The Seattle Sonics, QFC supermarkets, Starbucks Coffee and the National Basketball Association.

Elizabeth Semple Joins MWW Group As Vice President, Talent And Human Resources

Semple has worked with organizations at all stages of organization growth, including strategic planning, organizational development, operations, finance and administration.

Semple holds degrees in Organization Development and Labor & Employment Management from NYU and Rutgers University.

Scott Samson Joins MWW Group As Vice President In The Firm’s Energy, Sustainable Solutions, And Clean Tech Practice

Samson Brings More Than a Decade of Experience in Sustainability, Strategic Communications and Digital Marketing

NEW YORK – December 13, 2011 – MWW Group (www.mww.com), one of the top ten global independent public relations firms, announced today that Scott Samson has joined the agency as a Vice President in MWW’s Energy, Sustainable Solutions and CleanTech practice, based in Los Angeles. In this role, Samson will help grow the practice and lead sustainability and energy programs for a variety of clients including major brands, energy and tech companies, utilities, and municipalities.

Samson brings more than 10 years of experience in strategic communications to MWW Group, including traditional and social media, branding, marketing and events. His portfolio of work includes launching integrated communications programs for consumer brands, nonprofits, energy utilities, municipalities, and state and federal governments.

While his experience stretches across a range of industries, Samson’s primary focus is on energy and environmental initiatives. Most recently, as a senior consultant for Geltz Communications, Samson oversaw many of the agency’s largest accounts, including Con Edison’s small business energy-efficiency program in New York City, which inspired thousands of businesses to perform energy-saving retrofits. Earlier in his career, Samson led a three-year energy efficiency awareness program with the Department of Navy. Brett White Wins a PR News PR People Award!

MWW Group’s own Brett White, Vice President of the Dallas office, took home a PR News PR People Award for PR Team Leader of the Year! This distinguished award honors outstanding PR professionals across all areas of PR for their notable achievements and contributions.

Brett White joined MWW Group’s Dallas office in 2006 as a Senior Account Executive for the newly acquired Samsung Mobile account. Since then, Brett has been promoted three times – first to Account Supervisor and Account Director, and most recently to Vice President for his diligent leadership on the Samsung Mobile account and pursuit of new business opportunities.

His work with Samsung Mobile is especially noteworthy and his close relationships with his client, the media, and his team members are rooted in the key tenets of public relations. His achievements have gone far. Brett helped the team secure placements with CNN, G4, Maxim, Rolling Stone, Seventeen, and even on the daytime talk shows of Ellen DeGeneres.
